Often times, interior design focuses from the outside in—starting with a look and trying to force life into that look. The spaces I create feel authentic, are visually cohesive, and support the way that you live.
I spent 30 years working in the tech industry, with expertise in market research, branding and user experience design. But my father was an architect, so I spent many years redesigning rooms—both remodels and new construction.
Through conversations and interactive exercises, I apply research techniques, behavioral science and usability principles to better understand how my clients make decisions, what their preferences are, and how they use physical spaces. The result isn't just a beautiful room; it’s a high-functioning environment that is as comfortable as it is beautiful.

Solution: I begin with an interviewing technique to identify your aesthetic, exploring different eras, visual styles, sensory experiences, lighting and color. Additional clues may come from the clothes you wear, objects in your home, what you like and dislike about your current space, and how you want to feel in the new environment.
Challenge: Clients fear overspending or misallocating their budget on the wrong things.
Solution: Before I start the design process, I use the same research techniques that I used for interface design. I educate my clients about their decisions and the trade-offs they're making, so that they can spend their money wisely. That means that every budgeted dollar is funneled into elements that matter to you—whether that is art, flooring, lighting, finishes or furniture.
Challenge: Clients pay for a beautiful space, but later discover that it doesn't fit their lifestyle.
Solution: I look at a floor plan through the lens of user experience (UX) design, traffic flow, and use cases, while taking into account the building architecture.
Material provenance
Your home should look like your life, not a showroom. My practice shapes spaces around your unique journey. Every space I design is defined by strong silhouettes, rich textures, and light.
I believe in materials that tell a story and have soul. Hand-troweled plaster, unlacquered bronze, Calacatta Oyster marble—these elements have an inherent honesty. I let their raw beauty shine, without unnecessary ornamentation.

I believe that the soul of a space lives in its details. In high-end residential design, a beautiful sketch is meaningless without the hands that must build it. I do not rely on catalog retail or standard suppliers. I collaborate with expert upholsterers, fabricators and artisans. From hand-carved stone to custom-engineered metalwork or millwork, I ensure that every element of your space is a testament to quality.
The commodity standard
Standard stone yards sell slabs like inventory, leaving the layout and cutting to basic installers who misalign veins and crack fragile stone.
Most retail brands mass-produce furniture with engineered wood frames, synthetic fills, and standard proportions that quickly degrade.
Buying fabric based solely on color or pattern often leads to pilling, sun-fading, and premature wear in high-traffic zones.
Inexperienced wallpaper installers leave visible seams, misalign intricate patterns, or ruin expensive handmade panels with the wrong adhesive.

Stone experts digitally map veins for perfect book-matching, they engineer invisible miters, and structurally reinforce cantilevered islands so the stone is as durable as it is breathtaking.
Furniture makers build with kiln-dried hardwoods and 8-way hand-tied springs. They scale each piece specifically to your body and your room’s dimensions.
I understand fiber content, weave density, and rub-counts. I know exactly how a fabric will drape on a custom sofa and how it responds to sunlight. I have access to exclusive fabric lines, custom coloring/scales/weaves, and specialized fabric treatments (stain-proofing, flame-retardant backing).
Expert installers understand complex wall preparation, moisture barriers, and precise pattern matching. They also know how to handle delicate, heavy-duty and luxury materials—such as acoustic wall panels, grasscloth, silk, suede or metallic papers.
